Why We Need Access
To effectively manage your Google Business Profile (GBP) and optimize your local search presence, we need administrative access to your profile. This allows us to update your business information, respond to reviews, post updates, manage photos, and monitor your performance insights—all essential components of your local SEO strategy.
What Level of Access We Need
We require Manager level access to your Google Business Profile. This permission level allows us to perform all necessary management tasks while you retain full ownership and control of your profile.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Sign In to Your Google Business Profile
- Go to business.google.com
- Sign in with the Google account that owns or manages your business profile
- Select your business location (if you have multiple locations, you’ll need to repeat this process for each one)
Step 2: Navigate to Users
- From your Business Profile dashboard, click on “Users” in the left-hand menu
- This will display all current users who have access to your profile
Step 3: Add Our Agency as a Manager
- Click the “Add users” button (typically a person icon with a plus sign)
- In the email field, enter: [email protected]
- Select “Manager” from the role dropdown menu
- Click “Invite” to send the access request
Step 4: Confirm the Invitation
Once you’ve sent the invitation, we’ll receive an email notification and will accept the access request. You’ll see our email address listed under your Users section once we’ve accepted.
For Multiple Locations
If your business has multiple locations, you have two options:
Option 1: Add us to each location individually
- Follow the steps above for each business location
Option 2: Add us at the business group level (if applicable)
- If your locations are organized under a business group, you can grant access at that level, which will apply to all locations within the group
What Happens After You Grant Access
After we receive and accept your invitation:
- We’ll conduct an initial audit of your profile
- Optimize your business information for local search
- Begin implementing your agreed-upon management strategy
- You’ll retain full ownership and can remove our access at any time
Security Note
Granting Manager access does not give us the ability to:
- Delete your business profile
- Transfer ownership
- Remove you as an owner
You maintain full control and can revoke our access at any time through the same Users menu.
